Is this Michigan's largest cat?
Monday, April 7, 2008 Question: What do these have in common – a 12-foot cat, ukulele, clown, and dragon? Answer: They all appeared in Ann Arbor's second annual FestiFools Parade. The parade featured an eclectic assortment of larger-than-life puppets, creative musical instruments, wild street performers in colorful costumes, and over-the-top performance acts. It was Mardi Gras artist-style.

Festifools Paradeparade participants sang, dance, played, and performed with puppets. It was spectacular. In my opinion, the star performer by far was Trevor's Kitty. Kids couldn't keep their hands off the cat. Everyone wanted to play and pet. Trevor and Kari did a fabulous job rallying the crowd. It was the most fun I've had at an event all year. Fellow Ypsilanti blogger Mark Maynard has a cool video of the cat on his blog.
